Entrepreneurial Training Course

The course is held on Thursday evenings, costs $195 and includes a text book and handouts. In person at JCC and simultaneous broadcast to JCC’s Lewis County Education Center distance learning classroom in Lowville. The purpose of the Entrepreneurial Training Course is to provide guidance and support to people interested in starting or expanding a small business. Its classes are designed to guide the entrepreneur through all aspects of starting and running a small business. The course also includes one-to-one with an SBDC advisor about your specific business project. The course covers how to check your credit and address any related problems, how to prepare a business plan, types of loans you can apply for, and types of insurance you should have. You'll learn about contract agreements, marketing, the microloan program, bookkeeping, and much more.
