AM Equipment’s Story
AM Equipment, founded by Andris White in 2009 on the Mohawk Reservation of Akwesasne, has transformed from a one-person operation to a thriving business with 27 employees and $4 million in sales. Initially grossing $100,000, Andris leveraged his industry experience and extensive product knowledge to grow the company.
In 2016, Andris hired his first part-time employee, marking the beginning of a significant growth phase. By 2019, AM Equipment had expanded operations to Massachusetts, becoming a certified MBE/DBE heavy and highway contractor. In January 2022, Andris established AM Equipment NY LLC as a wholly owned subsidiary, further cementing the company’s presence in New York.
AM Equipment offers comprehensive construction services, including site work, road construction, and utility construction, across two states. The company’s recent certification as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) from the National Minority Supplier Development Council and the ongoing application for the SBA’s 8(a) Business Development Program highlight its continued commitment to growth and excellence.
