National Small Business Week Virtual Summit Connects Entrepreneurs with Free Business Resources

May 7, 2026 ASBDCSBA

During National Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration and America’s SBDC co-hosted the 2026 National Small Business Week Virtual Summit, a free two-day online event designed to connect entrepreneurs with business education, federal resources, networking opportunities, and mentorship.

Held May 5–6, the virtual summit featured sessions on topics including artificial intelligence, access to capital, business continuity, risk and fraud prevention, federal contracting, hiring, e-commerce, and small business growth. America’s SBDC also presented sessions focused on starting a business and creating professional video content using tools business owners already have.

The summit was part of the SBA’s broader National Small Business Week celebration, held May 3–9, which recognizes the hard work, ingenuity, and contributions of small businesses across the country.

For entrepreneurs, the summit offered a convenient way to access practical information from national partners and resource providers. According to the SBA, the event included educational workshops, access to federal resources, networking, and mentorship opportunities.

In New York, the New York SBDC recognized National Small Business Week with additional online and in-person educational events for small business owners and entrepreneurs, as well as award celebrations honoring businesses across the state.
