SUNY Chancellor King Announces Small Business Development Centers Provided Direct Support to 24,000 Small Businesses Across New York State in 2022

The State University of New York announced today that the New York Small Business Development Center (New York SBDC) provided direct support to more than 24,000 small business clients across the state in 2022, affirming the organization’s stature as one of the state’s leading programs for entrepreneurs and economic development.

Administered by SUNY and primarily funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the work of New York’s 22 regional SBDC in 2022 resulted in over $475 million in financial impact, 2,000 new business starts, and more than 10,000 jobs created or saved.
