In 2019, Michael Mowins turned to the Small Business Development Center for guidance. The SBDC provided comprehensive support in developing a robust business plan, cash flow projections, and essential financial documentation that positioned Vetted Tech for funding. The SBDC’s expertise and network opened doors to vital financing sources, culminating in a combination of SBA-backed loans.
Through connections facilitated by the SBDC, Vetted Tech secured an SBA 504 loan of $525,000 from the Greater Syracuse Business Development Corporation and an SBA 7A loan of $946,000 from Key Bank in December 2019. These funds were pivotal in acquiring state-of-the-art 3D printing equipment capable of printing metal parts, laying the groundwork for the company’s growth in the additive manufacturing space.
Mowins continued to leverage SBDC support through 2022, refining business strategies and maximizing growth opportunities.
