The SBDC is offering a two-part training on how to successfully navigate the process and requirements to start your food industry business successfully.

Topics Covered:
Part 1 – May 3rd - 10am to 12pm

- How to develop your concept
- How to test your idea ie: demo's, pop-up’s, etc.
- Full introduction to permits/state & county food policies
- Demystifying NYS and county requirements
- COVID-19 policies & procedures
- Home processing vs. commercial kitchen
- Starting a food truck - information and requirements


Part 2 – May 10th – 10am to 12pm

- Basic business start up: how to define your vision
- What is a business plan?
- Startup costs, expenses, rev
